For a radiant makeup look, highlighters are the go-to and helps reflect light for a beamy, shimmery result; which accentuates your facial features.
I personally prefer powder highlighters over cream highlighters as I find the application easier, especially for those rushed mornings, without compromising your glow.
I previously blogged about the L.A Girl Mesmerizing Eye Lux eyeshadow and loved this cruelty free brand subsequently, I decided to try out the Strobe Lite Strobing Powder – a highlighting powder – specifically for this blog post.
- Highlights facial features
- Skin appears to be luminous
The powder has a velvet finish that glides over your makeup or skin to add dimension to your facial features.
For a soft glow dust the strobelite pigment on light reflective features and add extra product for a high impact glow for extra depth to your facial features.
I love that the LA Girl strobe light powder is available in various shades for different skin tones.
Retails for R150 – 00
Where to buy LA Girl Cosmetics:
Ease of use:
Highlighting powder is simple to use.
Once your makeup application is completed, highlight the facial features you wish to accentuate.
How To Use:
- Apply to the inner corner of eyes and brow bones
- Dust product on the tip of your nose and cheekbones using a fan brush
- Highlight your pout by applying to your upper lip
Match your skin tone to the perfect strobe powder.
I personally find that the yellow powders do not suit various skin tones, as a result, I don’t use the color 60 WATT.
- Paraben free
- LA Girl products are not tested on animals
The L.A Girl Strobing Powder has shimmer and therefore has a high impact on adding dimension and glow to your features.
If you are seeking a natural look, opt for a highlighter without shimmer or simply use less product.
Would I use it again?
I’ve been using the LA Girl Cosmetics Strobe Lite Powder for over eight months now and enjoy experimenting with the various colours on offer – it completes my everyday makeup look, adding that touch of instant glam.
L.A Girl Cosmetics is a viable brand, especially since I’m experimenting with different looks and I’m not a makeup artist. I love the high impact results of the trendy makeup LA Girl cosmetics has to offer – which is perfect for beginners like myself, especially with the affordable price tag attached to it.
