Beauty Treatment Review: The Green Peel With Anti Aging Art

Peels have long since replaced facials as the regular beauty treatment with the Green Peel gaining popularity and being the front-runner in facial peels I had to try it out for myself.

Here is a detailed look into the Dr. Med. Christine Schrammek green peel – a herbal face peel procedure, I had done at the Anti Aging Art clinic in Houghton, Johannesburg – leaders in aesthetic treatments.

Green Peel

Targets:

One of the main reasons as to why the green peel facial has gained popularity is that it can target a multitude of skin concerns per treatment.

  • Acne or related breakouts
  • Pigmentation, uneven skin tone, sun spots and dullness
  • Wrinkles
  • Circulation, thereby increasing cell turnover
  • Ketosis Psoriasis

Key Ingredients:

The Dr. Schrammek green peel consists of natural ingredients and no chemical substances and is therefore a natural face peel.

Effectiveness:

After the herbal peeling treatment, my skin instantly looked clean and radiant – though a bit red – this subsided the next morning.
The first two layers of your skin are removed with the peel, thereby instantly giving you a clearer complexion, with pigmentation and sun spots less visible.
The circulation stimulates your skin, thereby plumping fine lines whilst blackheads, cysts or acne are cleared out.

Dr Schrammek Green Peel Follow Up – R 1000

Pre Green Peel:

It’s essential that the correct products are used to remove any dirt and makeup prior to applying the green peel mixture – as this can cause unwanted breakouts – it’s therefore important to have the green peel done by a professional and trained therapist with the correct products.

Green Peel Treatment:

Watch Anti Aging Art Beauty Therapist explain, in detail, the procedure of the green peel:

Post Green Peel:

As the first two layers of your skin have been removed, special care needs to be taken to remain out of the sun and use a high SPF.
A home care kit is recommended for use after the green peel.
Avoid using products that further exfoliate your skin after this procedure, which can cause over exfoliation.
A medical green peel can cause peeling skin – however, this does not affect the overall results of the peel – should your skin not peel.

Warnings:

A trained professional beauty therapist needs to perform this procedure with the correct Dr. med. Christine Schrammek products.
Cannot be performed on people with grass allergies.
Only a certain section of the body can be treated at a time – due to over stimulation of the skin – you cannot treat a larger surface area for example face and neck.

Pros:

  • Targets various skin concerns at once
  • Skin is instantly radiant
  • Two layers of skin is removed – therefore a quicker cell turnover rate

Cons:

  • Skin is red after the procedure which subsides after a day

Would I have the treatment again?

I love that the green peel is a natural treatment. What does concern me about peels with chemical substances is that – especially in Indian skin – pigmentation can be a side effect due to that peel being too harsh on your skin.
Once you have a skin peel, you will realize that facials are an indulgence and will not treat your skin concerns, as effectively as a peel will.
I therefore suggest getting a green peel done every two months.

Summary:

The green peel is the ideal herbal peel suited to most people who want glowing, radiant looking skin with visible reduction for various skin concerns.
