Applying a primer before makeup application assists with:
- All day wear makeup
- Smoother, luminous skin
- Blurred or plumped out wrinkles and pores
Even on days that I don’t use makeup, I find that using the correct primer adds a youthful glow to my skin, moreover, it’s for this reason I’m primer obsessed and I’m always on the prowl for the latest in face primer trends.
A popular primer, makeup enthusiasts insist on is the Revlon Photoready Rose Glow Hydrating and Illuminating Primer. It’s almost always sold out and difficult to find, I finally got my hands on it and here is my Revlon Photoready Rose Glow Primer review.
Revlon Rose Primer Uses:
- Preps skin for makeup application
- Smooths skin
- Hydrates skin for up to 24 hours
- Reveals a rosy glow complexion
Appearance:
Packaged in an attractive, dainty 30ml dropper bottle the Revlon Photoready Primer is a pretty product to add to your makeup collection. The primer is a lightweight, pink, water based like serum with a hint of a glow but no glitter.
Key Ingredients:
- Water basedfor a lightweight feel
- Pearlescent quartz for that subtle glow
- Oil Beads for skin hydration
- Botanical extracts for nourishing properties
Effectiveness:
Now that it’s summer, I have hydrated skin already and I’m in love with the nourished, hydrated feel of my skin.
I was a bit apprehensive about using a hydrating primer as I thought it would be too thick and result in an oily residue.
My first impressions of using this Revlon primer was that it was light weight and glides on easily. I prefer to use a foundation brush to apply it all over my face and get into the wrinkles and pores so that my skin is perfectly smooth.
Immediately after applying the Revlon illuminating primer, I had luminous looking skin, which didn’t feel oily – it felt like velvet to the touch – which of course, is a big win.
It also has a light, rosy scent that makes the application process more enjoyable.
My makeup application was effortless to apply after using the Revlon Rose Glow Illuminating Primer, my makeup simply glided on and stayed all day.
I tend to use an excess of powder – a bad habit in my makeup application – but this was no problem when using this Revlon primer – as my skin did not have an “over – powdered” look, but rather a luminous glow throughout the day with no oily T – zone and other visible oily areas.
I also used this primer on days I didn’t use foundation and found that it made my skin complexion look flawless – a sort of cheat product.
How To Use:
After your final skin care step of moisturizing, apply a few drops of this primer with a foundation brush all over your face before your makeup application.
Price:
Revlon Rose Glow Primer Price 30ml R250 – 00

Summary:
Glowing skin is the 2020 skincare and makeup trend and the Revlon Rose Glow primer is the perfect product to achieve that luminous glow we all desire without an oily residue.
Overall, I enjoyed using this Revlon makeup product and I feel as if my skin looks healthier since I began using it. Additionally, it also provides the perfect barrier for my skin and makeup application with a lightweight feel I enjoy.
