Sorbet Bare Faced Liquid Foundation Review

Sorbet makeup turned 3 recently, one of the products that I love from the Sorbet makeup range since their launch is the Sorbet Bare Faced Liquid Foundation. If you are looking for a budget friendly, high performing everyday liquid foundation, this could be your winning formula. Let me unpack all the details of this foundation for you to see if you and the Sorbet Bare Faced Liquid Foundation are a perfect match for each other in this Sorbet foundation review.

Uses:

  • Buildable light to full coverage
  • Full day wear 6/8 hours
  • Lightweight
  • Semi – transfer proof

Key Ingredients:

An aqua based formulation which contributes to that light weight feeling, this drugstore foundation pairs well with various primers additionally, it’s satin finish ensures that it stays in place all day and is transfer proof for about six hours before it starts moving or shifting, making it the perfect formulation for everyday use.

I have dry skin and it’s perfectly suited to my skin, without further drying it, making me look aged or settling into fine lines and wrinkles so I would say this Sorbet liquid foundation is suited to oily, normal and dry skin types.

Furthermore, there are vitamin A, C and E inclusions and a SPF 6 – which assists in bringing out a healthy skin like effect when wearing the Sorbet Bare Faced Foundation.

Effectiveness:

I reach for this foundation on the regular even though I switch up foundations quite often, I always ensure that I have one of these in my makeup collection.

The only con I would say is that it’s price tag R260 – 00 is a bit more on the expensive side for drugstore variations that perform just as well however you only require a single pump of product to be effective for full face coverage therefore the 30ml will last a long time even if you use it for everyday use.

There are 17 shade variations suited to South African skin tones, I love that my colour match “Cashew” is a perfect match especially due to the yellow undertone and it does not oxidize on my skin.

Price:

30ml retails for R260 – 00 available at Clicks stores

Pros:

  • All day wear
  • Satin finish
  • Does not oxidize
  • Does not settle into fine lines / wrinkles
  • Does not shift or move for up to 6 hours
  • Buildable wear
  • Provides full coverage
  • Contains skin enhancing ingredients such as vitamins and a SPF

Cons:

  • A bit pricey compared to other good quality drugstore foundations.

Summary:

This drugstore foundation from Sorbet can easily outdo many high-end foundations, additionally Sorbet is a brand that encapsulates the fun element of makeup.

Overall, the Sorbet Bare Faced Liquid Foundation has never let me down and is a foundation I would highly recommend, it’s one of my top three drugstore foundations so I am almost 100% certain that you will enjoy it as much as I do.
