Beauty product launches for 2022 have been minimal, giving us beauty addicts time to evaluate what we have and make informed decisions on new beauty products before purchasing, it also allows the community to focus on Indie brands, which normally gets lost with the abundance of product launches there usually is.
There was also a fair share of scandal this February with BH Cosmetics filing for bankruptcy – now being bought over by Makeup Revolution and Juvia’s Place coming under fire for a reel with a racist comment but that wasn’t all – Makeup Geek also announced they will be closing down.
Amidst all of this, there were some interesting makeup launches, some of which I already purchased that I cannot wait to share with you.

Elf The Camo Powder Foundation
Kicking off with new makeup products, Elf cosmetics is going strong for a second month in a row this 2022, last month with the power grip primer and this February with the launch of a primer infused buildable powder foundation.
It can be used as a setting powder for extra coverage or as a foundation powder for an airbrushed, matte finish.
Elf cosmetics is available in South Africa via resellers like Shop Betty Online.

Colourpop Rock Candy Mega Eyeshadow Palette
The colour story of this Colourpop Cosmetics palette is too interesting and pretty to ignore and I had to order this palette from Colourpop.
This cool – toned palette consists of 30 shades including mattes, shimmers, metallics and pressed glitters.

Standard Beauty Pigmentation Buster
Local skincare company – Standard Beauty which boasts top skincare products in South Africa launched their pigmentation buster serum earlier in February which sold out in less than 24 hours. This serum boasts all active ingredients targeted to decrease pigmentation.

Juvia’s Place The Culture Collection Eyeshadow Palette
This palette has 30 high-pigmented shades of mattes and shimmers with a mixture of primary colours and pastels. The eyeshadow looks one can create with this palette are endless. All the influencers assigned to this launch created the most gorgeous content from all over the world, celebrating different cultures.
Juvia’s Place does deliver to South Africa via the post office.
Dior Forever Foundation
Already trending, the Dior Forever foundation is said to be mask proof with a skin like finish and buildable coverage. But more than that, this foundation is going viral because it lasts all day with a radiant finish as you wear it.

Natasha Denona The Pastel Eyeshadow Palette
Despite the hefty price tag attached to Natasha Denona palettes, when this brand releases an eyeshadow palette the beauty community pays attention.
Often said that Natasha Denona palettes are worth the money and is probably the best eyeshadow formula around to date, this beautiful colour story and creamy texture is ultra-alluring.
The quality of pastel coloured eyeshadow shades are compromised as these aren’t easy shades to create. However, the pigment of Natasha Denona palettes are anything but chalky and underperforming.
This palette should be available on Cult Beauty soon.
L’Oréal Revitalift Eye Serum
This eye serum boasts active ingredients for the under-eye area such as hyaluronic acid and caffeine. There is a massaging roller included as part of the product packaging and can be kept in the fridge for an ultra-cooling effect.
That’s a wrap for February 2022 beauty product launches, I’m thinking about adding the Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette and Dior Forever Foundation to my collection from this round up.
