Foundation Review: Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation

In today’s blog post, I will be discussing and reviewing the highly sought-after Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation. This foundation has been making waves in the beauty community due to its promising claims of providing a flawless complexion that lasts all day. We will dive into various aspects of this foundation, including packaging, texture, coverage, longevity, shade range, and overall performance. Read on to discover whether this foundation lives up to its hype.

Packaging:

The Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation comes in a sleek and sturdy glass bottle with a rose gold cap. This packaging not only looks aesthetically pleasing but also ensures convenient and hygienic application. The pump allows for controlled dispensing, reducing the chances of wastage.

Texture:

This is a hydrating foundation formula with hylauronic acid and boasts a lightweight and smooth texture that blends effortlessly onto the skin. It instantly creates a soft and velvety finish, making it ideal for achieving a natural and flawless appearance and the perfect foundation to use to achieve a dewy look without setting powder. It is a thicker foundation and you can feel a bit of the heaviness if you layer it on for full coverage.

Coverage:

One of the standout features of the Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation is its buildable coverage. Whether you prefer a sheer, medium, or full coverage look, this foundation can be easily layered to achieve your desired level of coverage. It effectively conceals imperfections, redness, uneven skin tone and masks the appearance of pores.

Longevity:

While this foundation is designed to stand the test of time, ensuring that your flawless complexion throughout the day, the look will wear as more skin like throughout the day, it might be a bit problematic for very oily skin types. It maintains its fresh and vibrant appearance, even in humid or challenging weather conditions for dry skin types.

Shade Range:

The Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation offers 20 shades with warm to cool undertones which isn’t a large variety. Subsequently I haven’t found my perfect shade match yet and mix two shades: 030 Neutral Sand and 039 Warm Olive.

Performance:

The stand out feature for me is the smooth, flawless skin finish, even if you layer on the product for maximum coverage, it may not feel too comfortable on the skin but it does look absolutely flawless and is one of the few foundations which you can layer on but does not look like heavy makeup, pores are remarkably reduced in comparison to other foundations. I did find that the fine lines under my eyes are less visible with this foundation but the foundation does settle into the lines on my forehead.

The Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation is one of the prettiest looking foundations I’ve tried. This foundation delivers and is so affordable at R169,95 I would highly recommend that you try it. I always reach for this foundation during the drier seasons and is a must for dry / combination skin types. However the only drawback is that it feels thick and you will need touch ups in more humid conditions.

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.
